Cross-border Knowledge
Our founder, Lei Li, Esq., was born in China and later immigrated to Hong Kong and the United States after graduating from Peking University. She is licensed to practice law in California and New York, has passed the PRC National Judicial Examination, and holds the PCLL certificate in Hong Kong.
Fluent in Mandarin (native), English, and conversational Cantonese, Ms. Li brings a strong multicultural and multilingual background to her practice. She is highly experienced in handling cross-border legal matters, with a deep understanding of international estate planning and tax issues.
Personalization
Every family is unique. A variety of factors would affect your estate plan, for example, your family structure, types and size of your family assets, children’s conditions and immigration status, etc. The US property and succession law are so complex, and you could not complete a good estate plan without the help of an experienced attorney. We will customize your estate plan to tailor your personal needs, and ensure that your loved one would successfully receive your assets without hassle.
Focus
Our focus centers on the creation of various types of trusts, from the revocable living trust and various irrevocable trusts for purposes of saving estate tax and asset protection, to general business and immigration matters with regards to the wealth transfer planning. We contribute all our resources and attention to the only one area - wealth transfer, which ensures that we are the best law firm in this area.
Affordability
We charge a flat fee for our revocable trust and will services. As to the irrevocable trusts, depending on the complexity of the case, we will charge by the hour at a reasonable rate or set a flat fee upfront or a combination of both.
Flexibility
We can meet our clients during the weekends. Phone and video consultations with our attorney Lei Li can be scheduled after business hours for clients located in China. In addition, we can serve you at different locations. You can meet us at our office, or via remote teleconference. If you have special needs, we can come to your home with no extra charge (limited to areas in Los Angeles County, Orange County and Riverside County in CA).
Confidentiality
We are a boutique law firm and will keep all your family and asset information highly confidential. Large law firms might not provide highest levels of confidentiality as they have so many staff on the site. In our law firm, only the attorney who works on your project can get access to your family and asset information.
Lei Li, Esq, Our Founder
LEI LI, Esq. is licensed in California and New York. She passed the China National Bar Exam and currently holds Hong Kong PCLL certificate.
Attorney Li has almost 20 years of cross-border law and practice experience serving international clients and US domestic clients. Attorney Li worked for one large US law firm for many years with focuses on investment and M&A. Since 2013, Attorney Li transitioned her career to private wealth and succession planning. She advises clients on domestic and non-resident alien estate planning, pre-immigration planning for foreigners moving to the U.S, expatriation planning, asset protection and estate tax and gift tax planning. Attorney Li helped hundreds of international families with their wealth transfer trust planning.
Attorney Li obtained her Bachelor of law degree from Peking University, the top one university in China. She then obtained her Master of Common Law from the University of Hong Kong and LL.M from UCLA in California. Attorney Li can speak Mandarin (native) and English (fluent).
